Joan Healey Paintings

Joan Healey writes: "I have seven grandchildren, each one unique and precious. They are the inspiration for my art. They share their wisdom and curiousity, and provide me with and endless source of laughter. They make my heart soar! I feel like a wealthy farmer - I have a bumper crop of grandchildren!"

Joan's work is a unique combination of that which is intimate, lively, and most of all, genuine. Born and raised in Edmonton, AB, Joan is essentially a self-taught artist. What began in the early 1970's as a hobby has since flourished into a full time career. Her work resides in many corporate collections including The Edmonton Journal and Shaw Cable and her work has been featured on the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Edmonton Oilers Christmas Cards. Joan has also recently completed a new painting entitled "Sisters". This wonderful painting, now available in Limited Edition paper and canvas, is a tribute both to her strong family ties and to the grand beauty of her home province.
