Michael Tickner

(Michael's Originals can be seen on our Paintings page)

Michael Tickner had his first group show in London, England at the age of eight. He was accepted into the prestigious London School of Art at age 16. His work is shown and appreciated world-wide.

He moved to Canada in 1975 with his Canadian wife and continued to successfully sell his work starting in Stanley Park and finally in Vancouver galleries. He began to develop a new style in 1987 but, just as before, within a year, the childlike innocence and simplicity of his paintings became increasingly popular.

Tickner says "My work reflects a great sense of fun, love and high energy, which is basically my philosophy of life." and "My feeling about being an artist is that artists develop language. The more you practise your language, the more fluent you become in it and the easier it is for people to understand what you are saying."
